Your first session

After you have  arranged your first appointment, you will receive a confirmation letter via post.  This tells you the date and time to arrive, where to come and what to bring. You may also receive a confirmation text  to your mobile (if you have one) after you have called to arrange your appointment.

Enclosed in the confirmation letter/email will be a  Consent Form and Disclosure of Information Form to read and sign with regards your confidential information.  Please sign and complete these forms and bring them to your first appointment.

You can bring a support person with you to your appointment. If the appointment is for an adult it is good to think about who is most appropriate to support you. Your children may not always need to hear about what you discuss. If the appointment is for a child it is important that at least one parent/caregiver attend too.

Appointments are usually for 60 minutes   During your first session Liz will discuss your personal history and treatment options , treatment may not commence until your second appointment after Liz has taken time to gain an understanding of your situation.

At the end of your appointment Liz will typically summarize what was covered, and check in to see if you have understood what you have talked about.  Liz may give you some handouts or recommend some reading or even organize some homework tasks for you to do before your next appointment.”

You can ask questions at any time during your session.

Liz will help you  overcome your difficulties and enhance your strengths. Liz welcomes your feedback and prides herself on being friendly approachable and down to earth.


You will be sent a text 24 hours prior to your appointment to remind you.  Please advise immediately if you are unable to attend. 

Failure to give at least 24 hours notice, or failure to attend an appointment will result in you being charged a $50 cancellation fee. 

This charge is not covered by Medicare/Work Cover/TAC/Third parties, and applies to both bulk billed and gap fee individuals.  Please see Fees for details.
